The King’s Cross Central Limited Partnership (KCCLP) has announced Stephen Hubbard as its new Chair. Stephen has over 40 years’ experience in the real estate industry and brings a wealth of skills, knowledge and industry insight to the role.
Stephen had a 40-year career at CBRE, where more latterly he held the position of UK Chairman. He was also on the Board of Workspace plc, where he spent the last three years as Chairman. He currently has a number of Board Advisory roles and is a Non-Executive Director of the joint venture partnership developing Canada Water.
KCCLP shareholders include the pension fund, AustralianSuper and clients of Federated Hermes.
Stephen succeeds Sir David Clementi, who was the first Chair of KCCLP leading the company between 2008-2024. During his 16 years Sir David oversaw the creation of the 67-acre King’s Cross estate from the completion of Pancras Square, the opening of the iconic Granary Square, which welcomed Central Saint Martin’s as the estate’s first occupier. through to the launch of iconic retail destination Coal Drops Yard and planning approval for the final commercial Building F1.
Stephen Hubbard said: “This is an exciting time to succeed Sir David. Sir David Clementi said: “It has been a huge privilege to chair the Board for 16 years and to see the development of the King’s Cross Estate from a brownfield site to the thriving community it is today. I have enjoyed the job immensely, particularly since I have been surrounded by outstanding colleagues, both on the Board and across our professional and advisory teams.”
