Modern Slavery Act

Modern Slavery Statement for Financial Year ending 31 December, 2025

Related Argent Limited (“Related Argent”) has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and is committed to ensuring that it combats modern slavery in both its business and supply chains. This statement has been published in accordance with the requirements of S.54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the “MSA”) and relates to Related Argent’s financial year ending 31 December 2025. It applies to Related Argent Limited as well as its subsidiaries, parent undertakings, holding companies and all associated companies and joint ventures, including the Project Entities referred to below. In accordance with the requirements of S.54 MSA, this statement will be reviewed and updated annually.

Our structure, business and supply chains

Related Argent is a limited company.

Related Argent’s principal activity is the provision of development, asset and estate management services to various property related projects, including for Brent Cross Town, Tottenham Hale, Triangle (Author), King’s Cross St. Pancras Hospital and Old Street Quarter in London. Each project is delivered through a specific project entity (“Project Entity”), with Related Argent providing its personnel, assets and experience to each Project Entity. Related Argent has direct and indirect contractual relationships with each Project Entity. Related Argent, through the development, asset and estates management services that it provides, supports each Project Entity in the development process. This includes support in identifying sites, developing designs, obtaining planning permission, securing finance, project managing construction processes and asset management.
The support that Related Argent provides to the Project Entities means that it works with a wide range of professional advisers and suppliers. The Project Entities themselves procure the consultants and materials required in the design and construction of various projects including masterplanners, designers, construction and a range of other contractors and suppliers. Naturally, the Project Entities’ supply chains are therefore fairly complex and include supply chains involving construction labour and materials. There are multiple levels of suppliers between the Project Entities and the source of raw materials procured for construction processes on each project. The construction processes inevitably involve a significant number of raw materials and personnel sourced by the relevant suppliers and contractors from multiple locations. Related Argent provides support to the Project Entities to seek to ensure that modern slavery is not occurring in the supply chains utilised by the Project Entities.

Our policies and contractual controls

Related Argent has a zero-tolerance approach to human rights abuses and modern slavery. This commitment is reflected in Related Argent’s  Modern Slavery Policy. This policy prohibits modern slavery and trafficked labour within its own business and its supply chain and reflects Related Argent’s commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all its business relationships.

Related Argent requires all suppliers and contractors to comply with (and confirm compliance with) Related Argent’s Modern Slavery Policy and all applicable legislation (including the MSA) and to undertake regular reviews of their own supply chains and practices and to monitor the related risks.

In addition, Related Argent is involved in supporting its Project Entities in selecting appropriate contractors and suppliers to assist each Project Entity to seek to ensure that modern slavery is not occurring in the supply chains of the Project Entities. Both Related Argent and its Project Entities require that contractual obligations are included in their contracts which seek to ensure that those contractors and suppliers do not engage in modern slavery or use labour which is subject to human rights abuses.

Due diligence and audit of suppliers and supply chain

Related Argent has a due diligence process which seeks to monitor modern slavery risks in its supply chains to mitigate the risk, consistent with its zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery.
As part of its ongoing due diligence process, Related Argent reviews its list of its contractors and suppliers on an annual basis to identify those businesses which it considers to be of medium and high risk of modern slavery. However, the majority of Related Argent’s suppliers fall into the category of professional services and therefore Related Argent considers that the modern slavery risks with respect to these suppliers and service providers are low. Related Argent’s continuous efforts in working with its professional advisers and consultants, including architects, project managers, legal advisors and consultants, means it has a good understanding of their approach to dealing with modern slavery risks.
Related Argent is interfacing with its Project Entities and so recognises that it has a role in supporting the Project Entities to monitor their modern slavery risks. Related Argent recognises that the nature of the business of each Project Entity involves, to some degree or another, the construction sector and that this is recognised to be ‘high risk’ in the context of modern slavery. With this in mind, Related Argent encourages the Project Entities to maintain a high level of vigilance with respect to their interactions with this sector and to report to Related Argent through the annual review process.

Assessment of modern slavery risk within our supply chain

As already observed, Related Argent’s direct contractual relationships are largely with professional services and advisory firms, and as such it considers that the vast majority of its providers are relatively ‘low risk’ in the context of modern slavery. However, Related Argent will continue to focus its due diligence processes on ensuring that the Project Entities take appropriate steps to minimise the risk of modern slavery occurring in the business of each Project Entity and their respective supply chains. Details of actions taken by suppliers are requested as part of the annual review process.

Impact of geopolitical and economic conditions

Related Argent recognises that global economic conditions with significantly higher energy and raw material costs has impacted all employees and contractors. These have the potential to increase risks of modern slavery within the supply chain. Related Argent continues to monitor these risks and will ensure that it monitors and adapts its processes as necessary to seek to protect against these potential risks.

Modern slavery training

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in Related Argent’s business and supply chains, Related Argent continues to progress a Modern Slavery training programme for all relevant members of staff, including the Related Argent People team, Facilities Managers and Project Management teams. Training will be repeated on a bi-annual basis unless there are changes to legislation or regulations requiring an earlier update.

Further steps to prevent modern slavery in supply chains

Over the course of the year, Related Argent has worked with its Project Entities to review and implement steps to further prevent modern slavery in their supply chains, including:

  • reviewing and updating their Modern Slavery Policy and launching this to their main suppliers;
  • reviewing and updating their Modern Slavery due diligence questionnaire and related due diligence processes and launching the updated Modern Slavery due diligence questionnaire to key suppliers of the project entities;
  • each Project Entity has taken steps to ensure that it only enter into commercial relationships with companies who share its values and standards; and
  • all Project Entities require all new suppliers tendering for work with them to provide details of its policies on slavery and human trafficking and provide assurances that it does not (and nor does any entity within its own supply chain) engage in slavery or human trafficking or any associated activity.

Planned steps to further mitigate the risk of modern slavery in our supply chains in the next 12 months

To ensure Related Argent continues to reinforce its zero-tolerance approach, it will continue to support the Project Entities in the next financial year (to year ending 31 December 2026) to assist them with the following planned steps:

  • they will review and update the modern slavery compliance clauses in their supply contracts;
  • they will look to implement an annual self-declaration system with respect to continued compliance by suppliers; and
  • they will implement additional training for staff involved in ‘front line’ roles to ensure those staff have a greater depth of understanding of typical indicators that an individual may be the victim of modern slavery.

Assessment of effectiveness in preventing modern slavery

Related Argent will continue to review and evaluate the effectiveness of its role in relation to supporting the Project Entities throughout the upcoming year. Related Argent will take into consideration:

  • supply chain verification including the degree of suppliers’ compliance with each Project Entity’s policies;
  • staff and supplier training levels;
  • any incidents of modern slavery within each Project Entity’s supply chain;
  • level of communication between the Project Entities and their suppliers (and the same between providers and their sub-suppliers); and
  • evidence of steps taken by each Project Entity to address risks identified during its due diligence process.

No instances of modern slavery have been identified by Related Argent (in its supply chain) during the year ending 31 December 2025. This statement is made pursuant to S.54(1) MSA and constitutes Related Argent’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 December 2025 and has been approved by the Board of Directors of Related Argent.
