We strive to improve urban life for everyone, every day. This is our purpose and it drives everything that we do as a complete developer-owner-operator.
We are never happy to settle. At every turn, we strive to lift people’s experience out of the ordinary and to be a force for good in cities. Our approach is based on these six principles. Bring them together and the possibilities are endless.

The building and construction sector accounts for 40% of carbon emissions in the UK. Climate change is our greatest challenge and our industry urgently needs to act.
We are continually advancing our business and our projects towards a net zero carbon future – providing fossil-free energy and empowering communities to make low-carbon lifestyle choices. We are not waiting for solutions to be developed. We are shaping them.
King’s Cross is already carbon neutral and laser-focused on becoming net zero carbon by 2035. Brent Cross Town, our largest project to date, is working towards becoming net zero carbon by 2030. In the US, Related’s Hudson Yards is Manhattan’s first ever LEED Gold (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) neighbourhood.
This is just the beginning.

We have experience with large-scale projects like no other – allowing us to bring fresh thinking and specialist skills to the UK market.
For example, where Build to Rent is only an emerging model in the UK, Related has over 40-years’ experience owning and operating more than 80,000 rental homes in the US. Combine this with Related Argent’s market-leading placemaking and development skills and we have no equal.
We use our scale, skills and resources to make a positive and lasting impact. This means investing in every aspect of urban life, including schools, energy networks, community facilities, culture and the arts, sport, training and skills programmes.

We aim to generate growth for all through our financial strength, superior investment performance, and partnership ethos.
Related Argent already has a c.£13bn UK portfolio, with London developments at King’s Cross, Brent Cross Town, Tottenham Hale, St Pancras Hospital, the Build-to-Rent scheme, Author King’s Cross – and we are looking for more opportunities to grow. Alongside our extensive local track record, our company benefits from Related’s strong balance sheet and its prodigious capital raising activities which average $8Bn USD annually for its property businesses.
Creating value for our investors and partners goes hand-in-hand with building a lasting legacy of economic and social opportunity for the communities in which we work. Long-term sustainability is factored into everything that we do and we’re embracing a net zero carbon and fossil-free future.

Lasting change can’t happen if we act alone, so we take time to listen, understand and forge relationships.
We seek counsel from the communities in which we work and draw on the knowledge, talents and networks of our people and partners; from architects and artists to occupiers and educators. This enables us to explore new perspectives and harness different ways of thinking. This isn’t just the right thing to do; it’s the better thing to do.
At Brent Cross Town, our innovative public-private partnership with Barnet Council is delivering one of the most significant regeneration projects in the UK. Whilst at Tottenham Hale, we are delivering a new town centre with homes, retail, restaurants and leisure and partnering with Haringey Council to provide affordable homes and a health centre for the local community.

We are always looking to push the boundaries and stretch the possibilities, using data, technology, insight and on-the-ground understanding to guide and inspire us. If something doesn’t exist, we’ll invent it.
Through innovative partnerships, we challenge industry norms and break new ground. In doing so we seek to inspire others and bring about change.
At King’s Cross, we built one of the UK’s most advanced district energy networks and our energy services company provides heating, hot water and cooling directly into homes, offices, shops and restaurants. The estate is now powered entirely by renewable energy and in 2021, was certified as carbon neutral. We are now laser-focused on reaching net zero carbon by 2035.
At Brent Cross Town, we’ve partnered with Vattenfall – the Swedish Government-owned power company – to build a state-of-the-art district heating network that will deliver affordable low-carbon heating and hot water to the entire community.

As a complete developer, owner and operator, our commitment is always long-term. From the very beginning, we put a huge amount of time and effort into understanding the unique context of each community to ensure we are legacy builders.
Our pioneering work with The University of Manchester and Buro Happold on the Flourishing Index is a case in point. This new tool tracks the collective wellbeing of a community and is already shaping the future of Brent Cross Town as the first buildings are being built.
Whether for people, the planet or profit, our focus is on long term value, not short-term gains. This is why we are entrusted with neighbourhoods on the scale of Brent Cross Town, King’s Cross and Related’s Hudson Yards – at 18 million sq ft, the largest private development in US history.
