Retail mix continues to take shape as established and local north London favourites join the £8bn park town
Related Argent has announced GAIL’s and el Estudio, as the latest brands to sign at Brent Cross Town, reflecting increasing leasing momentum at the 180-acre park town.
Together, GAIL’s and el Estudio — a reformer and tower Pilates studio — will strengthen Brent Cross Town’s everyday offer, combining established names with independent and local north London businesses.
They join a growing line-up of neighbourhood brands at Brent Cross Town, including Arthur’s, a dog-friendly café; Karma Bread, the north London bakery which has relocated to the new high street on Merchant Street; and AFG, a convenience store that has served the local area for 20 years.
The latest signings also follow the opening of Co-op as Brent Cross Town’s first grocery store, with a new restaurant from Urban Leisure Group also due to open in September.
GAIL’s will bring its neighbourhood bakery offer, serving freshly baked bread, pastries, cakes, sandwiches and coffee throughout the day.
el Estudio will open its third London site at Brent Cross Town, offering group class and private Pilates sessions. The studio will support Brent Cross Town’s wider ambition to create a neighbourhood where health, wellbeing, sport and play are part of everyday life.
Charmaine Rees, Senior Retail Asset Manager Director, Related Argent, said: “Brent Cross Town’s retail offer is now really beginning to take shape. Our strategy has always been to create a high street that feels authentic and rooted in the local community, alongside established brands that give people more reasons to visit and dwell here. The arrival of GAIL’s and el Estudio is an important step in that direction. This is the first of several further brand announcements we expect to make as momentum continues to build.”
Brent Cross Town is being delivered by Related Argent in partnership with Barnet Council and is one of Europe’s largest regeneration projects. Once complete, the new neighbourhood will provide 6,700 homes, 3 million sq ft of workspace, a new high street, schools, sports and play facilities and 50 acres of parks and playing fields.
The emerging retail and leisure offer will play a central role in creating an active, mixed-use neighbourhood, supporting the growing residential community and helping establish Brent Cross Town as a new destination for north London.
